They make my heart feel like helium: / by Christina Rosalie

They do, even after the longest, most impossible days. I come home to early evening light, Clover loping across the yard with her silly Yoda ears, and these two, playing in the sandbox. And when they see me they yell and cheer, and give me grins that make everything that I've held in tension in my ribcage loosen and lift off, like glycerin bubbles on a warm spring wind.

I'm really so lucky. I have the best kids.
